Pneumatic item pump functions as suction pump and item transfer pipe with filtering capability all in one. When multiple pumps are positioned next to each other, they form a pipe.

Rotarycraft Handbook DescriptionEdit

"The pneumatic item pump is used to rapidly transfer items between inventories. If an item pump has an inventory behind it, it will check in front of it for a valid receiving inventory. If it finds another pump, it follows that pump's frontal direction and repeats the process. This system allows you to transport items across any distance nearly instantly. The pump can transfer one item per tick per kW of input power; therefore, to transfer entire stacks supply 65 kW of power. More power will transfer multiple stacks, as there is no upper limit on the transfer rate."

RequirementsEdit

Power 1024 W
Speed 256 rad/s
Power Input Any side

InterfaceEdit

Black square side is the side that should be positioned to interact with the inventory such as a chest or a machine. Pneumatic item pumps are chained for longer distances, and should be oriented in the same direction in order to function like item pipes. If oriented correctly, you should see the markings on the side turn white on all segments but the initial one (example).

pump in a chain/pipe needs a power supply. DC engines are sufficient to run the pump at a very high speed. The pump automatically checks for inventory and pumps into it if there is space or out of it if items are present, depending on orientation. It does nothing if these conditions are not satisfied so there is no internal storage. It has blacklist/whitelist included allowing filtering of items.

Angular Transducer OutputEdit

  • Power and speed received. Only segment directly receiving power will display the correct numbers.

Tips & TricksEdit

  • Orienting these with a screwdriver once they've already been placed into a position can be tricky as they do seem to check for orientation of adjacent pumps. Place first pump next to an inventory, orient it correctly with a screwdriver, then set down the rest of them in a chain, and they should orient automatically for the most part. Angle pieces may need adjustment.
