The Pump will, when provided power, suck up any liquid below it layer by layer and eject the liquid into an adjacent pipe. Any pipe will do for transporting the liquids however the Pump and RotaryCraft Liquid Pipes have a special interacion that allows the Pump to build up pressure in the Liquid Pipe which is used when dealing with the Sprinkler and Ground Sprinkler. Pipes will not connect to the top of the Pump but will connect to the sides. The Pump works differently than pumps from other mods in that it is more suited to large flat bodies of liquid rather than tall columns.

Rotarycraft Handbook Description[]

"The pump will, when provided with power, will suck up liquids from the surrounding area and pump them into pipes, for transport to a machine that can use it. Water is often used as coolant, while lava is more often pumped to a reservoir for convenient access. Excess power to the pump generates pressure, which is essential for the operation of sprinklers."

Requirements[]

Power 1024 W
Torque 8 Nm
Power Input Front or Back

Angular Transducer Output[]

  • Pump Receiving
  • Liquid Pressure

Screwdriver Usage[]

Right Click Rotate
Shift + Right Click N/A

Duration of Operation Formula[]

Time (in ticks) = 200 - 20 × log₂ (speed + 1)

Tips & Tricks[]

  • if a 2x2 or 3x1 infinite water source is used it is possible that the pump will empty the water, therefore a 3x3 is recommended.
  • As of version V11 a single DC electric engine does not produce the required torque to run a pump. You will need to increase the amount of torque send to the pump.
