Spawner Controller is used in conjunction with Monster Spawners which you can harvest using a Boring Machine or a Pile Driver, to control the spawn rate of the monsters by the monster spawner. Together with aMob Harvester, it is used to create automatic mob drop farms.

Rotarycraft Handbook Description[]

"The spawner controller hacks into the functioning of the monster spawner, allowing you to either shut it down completely, or to adjust the spawn rate as you see fit. The minimum allowable spawn rate is determined by the power input."

Requirements[]

Required Power 131072 W
Min Delay 800-40xlog_2(speed)
Power Input Spawner Block

Interface[]

Controller is positioned on top of the spawner block, and the power source should be feeding into the spawner block, on one of its sides, not into the controller. The spawner will continue to spawn mobs at the usual rate if the controller is not present, when the player is in range.

The "Enable/Disable" button is used to completely shut down the spawner.

Angular Transducer Output[]

  • Power and speed received

Tips & Tricks[]

  • Vanilla spawn rules are still obeyed; you must have a valid spawn area for the mobs. For most mobs, this means the area must be sufficiently dark. Also like vanilla spawners, the mobs will spawn in a 9x9x5 area around the spawner.
  • Just like vanilla spawners, the controlled spawner can spawn mobs in midair.
